Responsibilities StrategicDevelop and implement supply chain strategies to optimize efficiency and cost savings. Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners and customers to ensure a robust and diversified supply chain network. Identify and assess potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies to ensure uninterrupted operations.OperationalMonitor and control inventory levels to meet production requirements while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory. Implement robust inventory tracking systems and regular cycle counts. Support SCM Head in implementing effective inventory control measures. Aid in monitoring and controlling inventory levels as per SCM Head's directives. Support SCM Head in maintaining long-term relationships with suppliers; assist in contract negotiation with suppliers for securing favourable terms. Coordinate with logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials and finished products. Optimize transportation and distribution processes to minimize lead times. Ensure that all supply chain activities comply with relevant regulations and quality standards. Coordinate transportation and logistics activities to guarantee timely delivery of products, optimizing routes and minimizing transportation costs. Manage day-to-day warehouse activities, including inventory control, order fulfilment, and distribution, to meet production and customer demands. Collaborate with quality assurance teams to implement and maintain quality management systems. Identify opportunities for process improvement within the supply chain and implement practices. Assist the SCM Lead in establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the site to measure supply chain performance, contributing to the implementation of corrective actions.
