We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on.You will work with minimum supervision in a dynamic environment to drive the stability and sustainability of our next-generation networks and assist in the development of innovative ways to automate and scale our network.Key ResponsibilitiesMoving and implementing large enterprise equipmentInstalling fiber and copper cabling and patching cabling between equipmentEnsuring proper safety and security standards are maintained during cabling and rack installationFollowing well established hardware installation procedures and break‑fix activitiesSafely using material handling tools and equipmentTraveling within and outside of regional work area is requiredPhysical RequirementsRegularly lift up to 40 pounds; participate in group lifts for 41+ poundsWork in a 24/7 environment with primary responder rotation and after‑hours support as neededWork in cramped, elevated, or noisy environments; bending, lifting, stretching, reaching, standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a dayAscend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safelyBasic QualificationsHigh school or equivalent diploma2+ years of experience in technical roles such as computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project managementPreferred QualificationsIndustry standard certifications (CompTIA, CCENT, Network+)Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipmentExperience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologiesExperience with medium to large complex project scopesKnowledge of major command line protocols (Cisco IOS, JunOS, GNU/Linux) and common networking protocols (BGP, OSPF)Equal Opportunity Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.Benefits The base salary range for this position is listed below.
