Grid Delivery Manager EMEA, Infrastructure Energy Team Job ID: | Amazon Data Services UK Limited - E17 Overview The AWS Infrastructure Energy Team (IET) is seeking a results-orientated individual to join in the role of Grid Delivery Manager. The role is responsible for delivering large-scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines. The candidate should have a high-level technical understanding of critical HV/MV infrastructure projects including substations, cables and overhead lines, with a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in delivering HV & MV infrastructure projects/programs from design to energization. Strong communication skills and the ability to work with diverse teams (design engineering, construction, planning, environmental and real estate) to ensure delivery to tight timelines are essential. Stakeholder management and weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management, director and vice president level will be part of the role. The candidate will drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, develop tools for delivery executions and support financial budgeting. ResponsibilitiesDeliver large-scale critical HV/MV grid interconnection projects within EMEA under tight deadlines. Coordinate with design engineering, construction, planning, environmental and real estate teams to ensure timely delivery. Manage stakeholders and provide weekly reporting on key project risks & issues at senior management levels (director and vice president). Drive the grid infrastructure delivery program, standardize processes, and develop tools for delivery execution. Support financial budgeting related to grid delivery initiatives.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in engineering, project management, construction management or similar technical focus Experience building and cultivating relationships with internal and external stakeholders Travel up to 20% of the time Demonstrated ability to operate and thrive with partial information and high levels of ambiguity 5+ years of experience in building power substations working with Utilities and understanding their environment and culture Experience in analyzing cost/benefit trade-offs across a strategic portfolio A demonstrated understanding of how to successfully transact business in multiple cultural contexts as well as experience directly managing international teams is a plusPreferred QualificationsExperience working in data centers or critical infrastructure Master’s Degree (MBA/MS) preferred PMP Certification Experience designing substations or other energy infrastructure Experience working for utilities and with or for energy regulators Ability to communicate in additional languagesEqual Opportunity Employer Notices Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
