Software Engineer – Model-Based Design for Automotive Control SystemsThe selected candidate will be responsible for developing control software for automotive ECUs using model‑based design (MBD) methodologies. The role includes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the delivery of high‑quality software that meets customer needs and occasional vehicle testing to validate software performance.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop control software for automotive transmission systems using model‑based design (MBD) methodologiesCollaborate with system engineers, hardware engineers, and other software engineers to define software requirements and design specificationsCreate and maintain models in MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools to simulate and analyze control strategiesImplement software in C language based on model‑based designsConduct software integration and validation tests, including unit, integration, and system testsPerform in‑vehicle testing to validate and calibrate control software, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with safety standardsAnalyze test results, diagnose issues, and implement corrective actions to improve software qualityDocument software design, test procedures, and results for internal and external stakeholdersStay up‑to‑date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in automotive software development and model‑based designRequirementsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related fieldProven experience in software development for embedded applications, particularly using MBD methodologiesProficiency in model‑based design using tools such as MATLAB/SimulinkStrong programming skills in CExperience with automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, etc.) and diagnostic toolsKnowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC)Ability to perform hands‑on vehicle testing and troubleshootingExcellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detailStrong communication and teamwork abilitiesWhat we offerAn employment contract commensurate with your profileResponsibility and growth opportunitiesFlexible and dynamic environmentInternational environmentAbout Brain TechnologiesBrain Technologies is an Italian engineering company founded in Turin in 2008 by a group of people passionate about technology and innovation.
