We are a proud Great Place to Work certified employer, which acknowledges that we put our people at the heart of everything we do.The Gleeds Infrastructure team currently works across Infrastructure sectors such as Rail, Highways, Utilities, Aviation and Ports, providing Programme Management, Cost Management and Project Controls services to our clients.The Infrastructure team is a people‑focused team with the drive to be:Great place to work - attracting and developing the best talent, that represents the diverse society we work within.Investing in and supporting our people in their chosen careers and providing opportunities.As well as this you will support the growth of our Project Controls function both internally and externally, applying best‑practice principles to all schedule management activities, including efficient methodology planning, baseline/forecast control, progress reporting, schedule updates, forecast to complete, resource loading, and risk & opportunity.Your day to day could look involve:Undertake “rolling wave” planning & resource loading for assigned project & work scopesUtilise team inputs to create and track plans and schedules, perform risk explorationResponsible for detailed schedule exploration of network logic and critical pathWork with cross‑functional Program Teams to resolve critical path and network conflictsPerform "what if" scenarios for employee programme management teamsPerform schedule variance exploration by comparing baseline to schedulePerform earned value exploration in support of assigned programmes or projectsEnsure management understanding of network logic, Gantt, milestone lists, and resource information in the scheduleDevelop and maintain scheduling procedures for assigned programmesUtilise Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areasEnsure major projects and programme schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and qualityIn the consultancy world, no two days are the same We are a flexible team that supports each other’s projects as well as getting involved with wider business activities and we believe that variety is key to your development.Experience:Previous major projects experience and be able to provide support and guidance across multiple live projects as well as contribute to tender programmesExperience within project controls with a focus on planning ideally within a consultancyExperience in Primavera P6, with experience in Asta Powerproject and MSP beneficialStrong Excel competence to produce dashboards & supporting data visualisation to P6 programmesQualifications:Applicants should ideally be HNC, HND or Degree qualified in a Quantity Surveying / Cost Management, Construction Law, or similar/relevant discipline, or in some cases applicants with an alternative background (e.g.: Engineering) may be consideredProfessional qualifications and/or membership of the APM, RICS, CIOB, CICES, CIPS or other relevant Chartered Institute are desirable, and will be supported if not already attainedWhat we can offer you:Clear opportunities to develop and grow your career through training and further qualificationsFantastic networking opportunities to grow your personal brand and expand your understanding of the industryGenerous holiday allowance plus the option to purchase additional days through the holiday purchase schemeHighly competitive salary and the opportunity to increase this through continuous reviewsEmployee Assistance Programme to ensure your health and personal well‑being comes firstOur global travel scholarship programme gives you the unique opportunity to gain global experienceFlexible working arrangements to ensure you have a healthy work‑life balanceVolunteering opportunities to engage with your local community or charitable organisationsUnparalleled support from central teams and a company that is recognised as a Great Place to WorkA world of opportunityGleeds is a place to be part of something bigger.
