This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your communication, technical, and problem‑solving skills to impact millions of customers around the world.As a Senior Support Engineer, you will:Be a technical lead on the team and act as a subject matter expert for one or more servicesBe viewed as a support leader throughout the larger organization and are regularly engaged to work on cross‑team planningLead large multi‑team projects and resolve the most complex support issuesUnderstand the business impact of support decisionsDrive the team to improve operational efficiency for all services through the identification and development of SLAs, metrics, monitors, procedures, tools, and documentationThink proactively and work to prevent support issues before they are realizedParticipate in design reviews to identify and mitigate support risksWork closely with development and QA teams to improve the change management life‑cycleHave a deep understanding of production architecture and be familiar with operating system best practicesIdentify and drive small production architecture changesRegularly work with management to assign tasks and small projects to other Support EngineersDesign and develop complex high‑performing scripts and applicationsWork with other Amazon leaders to share ideas and improve support across the companyTake a role in the strategic direction of the teamPlay a significant role in hiring, mentoring, and training employeesDemonstrate excellent judgment when making decisionsABOUT AUDIBLE Audible is the leading producer and provider of audio storytelling.
