YOUR TASKS
As Application Engineer Conveyor & Marriage Solutions, you will develop technically sound, competitive and executable automation solutions for automotive final assembly projects. Your main focus will be automated guided vehicles, complex conveyors and automated decking systems.
You will work closely with the whole Sales team, Product Management, Engineering, Purchasing, Project Management and our international Dürr entities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Analyze customer requests, technical specifications, layouts and production requirements.
Develop complete technical concepts for AGV, AMR, marriage, decking, conveyor and material-handling applications.
Define system architecture, operating principles, equipment selection, interfaces and technical boundaries.
Prepare preliminary layouts, process descriptions, cycle-time concepts and technical solution documentation.
Translate customer requirements into clear scopes of supply, technical assumptions, exclusions and clarification lists.
Prepare and coordinate technical proposal packages from initial concept through final quotation.
Support the preparation and review of calculations, technical risks and opportunities.
Challenge proposed solutions regarding functionality, standardization, cost, delivery time, maintainability and project risk.
Identify deviations from standard products and initiate the required technical reviews and approvals.
Support technical customer meetings, concept presentations and clarification workshops.
Develop and maintain reusable solution modules, calculation principles, technical templates, checklists and proposal standards.
Capture lessons learned from quotations and projects and convert them into improved application engineering standards.
Build up local technical know-how in Beinasco and support knowledge
