Opportunity We are looking for a HVAC and Energy Engineer to join our MEP team (Mechanical Electrical & Plumbing) within Arup Milan Office. ResponsibilitiesDesign mechanical systems including heating, cooling, heat rejection, air and water distribution, ventilation, air conditioning, water supply and drainage systems, building automation and controls. Define and develop energy & carbon (scope 1, 2, 3) strategies with a particular focus on science, industry and technology projects and clients. Liaise with architects, clients and other stakeholders to set the constraints of the mechanical design and energy/carbon targets and coordinate with all other disciplines in terms of requirements, inputs and influence. Act as project lead engineer and interface with the client. Manage small project teams.QualificationsSound knowledge in mechanical engineering and energy/carbon fundamentals. Bachelor’s or master’s degree in mechanical, building or energy engineering. Confirmed experience in the design of mechanical systems. Knowledge of AutoCAD Revit MEP. Fluency in both English and Italian, written and spoken. Good communication skills essential for team‑based working. Excellent planning and organization skills required for a fast‑paced environment.
