Overview Capsule Corporation is developing WaterCube, a modular water-based propulsion system for CubeSats and SmallSats. Backed by ESA BIC, CDP Venture Capital, and Takeoff Accelerator, we are preparing our first in-orbit demonstration in 2026.We are growing our technical team and looking for a motivated AIT Engineer to lead and execute environmental testing and system integration of our qualification and flight models: you will be responsible for planning and executing the integration and test campaigns of the WaterCube propulsion unit, including mechanical and electrical integration, thermal-vacuum, vibration, functional testing, and ground support equipment (GSE) validationLocation and Details Location:Milan, Italy – via Durando 38 (in person, hybrid possible, full‑remotenotpossible) Start Date:ASAP Type:Full‑time (permanent or apprendistato contract, depending on candidate seniority) Salary Range:28k€ - 42k€ RAL + company stock options (depending on seniority and interview outcome)What you will do:Plan and conduct integration procedures of mechanical and electronic subsystems.Coordinate and execute test campaigns: vibration, TVAC, functional, etc.Design and manage Ground Support Equipment (GSE) test setups.Interface with propulsion, electronics, and mechanical teams to define interfaces and testing configurations.Document test procedures, logs, reports and compliance records.Support integration of WaterCube into CubeSat platforms for flight campaigns.Contribute to the AIT roadmap and quality assurance processes.Assist in technical documentation, interface definitions and flight documentation packages.Support integration & test reviews with institutional (ESA, ASI) and private stakeholders.This role may require travel domestically and internationally to partner test facilities in the EU.Mandatory Requirements:Master’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering or similar.Previous experience in system integration or environmental testing (lab, aerospace, or automotive).Strong hands‑on skills and familiarity with laboratory and workshop instrumentation.Ability to follow detailed procedures and perform efficiently under pressure.Hands‑on attitude and interest in prototyping and lab testing.Proven oral and written communication skills (English).Knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, PPT, Excel) or similar open‑source ones.Ability to work in a highly cross‑functional role with multidisciplinary skills.Preferred Additional Skills:Knowledge of CubeSat standards and ECSS.Experience with integration or environmental testing campaigns (TVAC, shaker tests, etc.).Experience with electronics lab equipment and PCB testing.Familiarity with test data acquisition systems and tools (STM32, Python, C/C++, etc.)About you:You must have the ability and desire to work in a young company.
