We are looking for a Micro-Aerial Vehicle (MAV) Research Engineer.Commitments:- Problem-solving: Designing and developing algorithms and models bycontributing to Deep Plants projects creatively and innovatively.- Team participation: Communicate findings and insights effectivelywith team members through regular updates and scientific documentation.- Management and deployment: advance the projects' completelifecycle, including maintenance, development, testing, deployment,and continual improvement of implementation solutions.Required qualifications:- Master's degree in Aerospace, Electronic, or Robotics and Autonomous Systems Engineer.- 2 years experience in MAV flight controller, MAVs design, model predictive control, flight dynamics (multirotor dynamics) and simulation.- 1 year ofexperience in simulation with Gazebo (gz-sim) or Air Sim.- 2 years of experience in firmware development for flight controllers (e.g., PX4, Ardu Pilot).- 2 years of experience in software tools: C/C++, Python, Linux operating system and ROS2, DDS protocol.- 1 year of experience in integrating a variety of onboard sensors and payloads for MAVs.- Experience on DJI Developer SDKs.Preferred qualifications:- Familiarity with NVIDIA Jetson, PX4 SITL, or VIO pipelines.- Participation in research or competitions like MBZIRC, IARC, or university-level drone teams.- Personal interest in plants, agriculture and in climate change resilience.- Publications of research on MAV.Diversity, Equity & Inclusion- We value uniqueness and are committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all to contribute and maximize their potential in the workplace.- Our approach to diversity and inclusion is grounded in principles of ethics and integrity, which are crucial for developing broaderhorizons and personal and corporate growth.- We advocate for including and integrating individuals from protected categories, as defined by law 68/99.Why work with us:-Competitive salary.-Flexible working hours.-Be part of a young and dynamic team.-Contribute with your skills to projects that significantly impact society and the environment.
