Strategic Procurement Manager - Italy - Indirect & DirectContact:Nick CookeContact email:Job ref:J _ Published:1 day agoExpiry date:Startdate:ASAPStrategic Procurement Manager - ItalyMilan, Italy - Global Industrial Group | Growing OrganisationWe are partnering with a global, innovation-driven industrial organisation to recruit a Strategic Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities in Italy and support strategic initiatives across the wider Europe.This is a senior, high-impact role for a procurement professional who thrives in a dynamic, international environment, collaborating with leadership teams and driving supplier strategy, sourcing excellence and process optimisation.Mission:Lead the strategic procurement function in Italy, managing a small, experienced team.Drive strategic purchases, cross-functional initiatives and category strategiesOwn the development of supplier strategies, framework agreements and strategic projects.Ensure compliance with procurement standards, guidelines and subcontractor processes.Be a key interface with internal stakeholders (Directors, Area Managers, operational teams) and external suppliers.Spend Scope (Italy - €41M)Subcontractor ServicesTechnical componentsOEM Spare PartsFastenersFleet VehiclesELV CabinsFleet OperationsRoad Freight, Production Supplies & othersKey Responsibilities:Strategic LeadershipLead and develop the Italy strategic purchasing team - 2 BuyersStrengthen procurement capability, processes and supplier relationships at local and regional level.Category & Supplier StrategyIdentify, evaluate and develop strategic suppliers in Italy.Conduct supplier reviews, performance meetings and long-term partnerships.Lead strategic sourcing initiatives and negotiate framework agreements and contracts.Project OwnershipManage strategic elevator projects and cross-country initiatives.Drive cost optimisation, risk management, compliance and supplier innovation.Governance & ReportingOwn the procurement guidelines for Italy.Report KPIs related to purchasing activity, performance and compliance.Ensure alignment with group procurement standards and subcontractor requirements.Required ProfileExperienceMinimum 3 years' experience in strategic procurement or a similar role.Experience in sourcing, contracting and subcontractor management (desirable).Exposure to industrial, construction, manufacturing or technical environments is an advantage.Strong analytical, negotiation and project management capabilities.Able to drive change, influence stakeholders and work cross-functionally.Proactive, solution-oriented, structured and resilient.LanguagesEducationDegree in Engineering, Economics, or equivalent.Other strong profiles will be considered.Why This Role?Be the country lead for a major function in a global organisation.Work across multiple countries, stakeholders and categories.Take full ownership of a varied and strategic spend.Join a business investing heavily in people, processes and transformation.Excellent development opportunities within a growing international group.If you are seeking a strategic role with autonomy, international exposure and genuine impact, we would be delighted to hear from you.#J-18808-Ljbffr
