Key Responsibilities
- Take overall responsibility for accounting accuracy, financial reporting and monthly, quarterly and annual closing.
- Review key accounting entries, reconciliations, accruals, provisions and financial statements.
- Ensure compliance with Italian accounting, VAT, tax and statutory requirements.
- Lead the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and manage external audits.
- Coordinate external accountants, tax advisors, auditors and other financial partners.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial performance analysis.
- Analyse revenue, gross margin, operating expenses, profitability and key financial variances.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, accounts receivable, accounts payable and financial risks.
- Review and improve internal financial controls, approval procedures and Finance processes.
- Identify accounting, tax and financial risks and ensure timely corrective actions.
- Lead and develop the local Finance function and ensure the quality and timeliness of Finance deliverables.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support key business decisions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor\'s or Master\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
- Previous experience as CFO, Finance Director, Head of Finance or Senior Finance Manager.
- Strong knowledge of Italian accounting principles, VAT, taxation and statutory reporting.
- Solid experience in financial closing, statutory financial statements and audit management.
- Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow and financial analysis.
- Strong hands-on accounting and financial review capabilities.
- Ability to independently identify financial risks and drive issues through to resolution.
- Experience in a multinational or international company is strongly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
- High level of ownership, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Fluent Italian and professional English.
