Planning the production of a range of animal food products on one or more production lines, so that optimum utilization of production is obtained and the products are available on time.An OpCo may have one or more production lines/sites. In the smaller OpCo’s 1 or 2 planners take care of all planning activities. In the larger OpCo’s a small group of planners may have the tasks specialised. Therefore, the job ranges from merely production planning of a single and rather simple production line, to planning several production lines together with external logistics.
