ResponsibilitiesConduct independent investigations into compliance issues, allegations of misconduct, and breaches of company policies, laws or regulatory requirements. Perform comprehensive compliance audits of internal processes, controls, and records to identify potential risks and areas of non-compliance. Gather, analyse, and document evidence, conducting interviews and reviewing documentation to ensure the integrity and accuracy of investigations. Prepare clear and detailed investigation reports, presenting findings and recommended corrective actions to senior management. Collaborate cross-functionally and interact with the various departments to ensure investigations are thorough and consistent with organizational policies. Stay abreast of compliance and audit best practices, regulatory developments and their potential impact on MSC Cruises’ operations. Monitor the status of corrective actions and follow up to ensure remediation is completed effectively.QualificationsDegree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Law, or a related field coupled with relevant certifications (e.g. CIA, CFE, CCEP). Minimum of 7 years of proven experience in internal audit, compliance or other investigative roles. Demonstrated expertise in conducting complex audits and analysis of accounting and financial records within an international corporate environment. High level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling sensitive information. Strong knowledge of auditing standards, regulatory and compliance frameworks, and ethical guidelines. Proficiency with audit management systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple investigations or audits simultaneously. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare precise reports and present findings to stakeholders. Full professional proficiency in oral and written English. Other European languages are advantageous. Ability to work independently and be a self-driven person while demonstrating teamwork attitude, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships across departments. Knowledge of the cruise, shipping, travel or transport industries is an asset. EU Passport or right to work in Italy.
