If you combine deep technical knowledge with sharp analytical skills and a drive for excellence, we want to talk to you.Key job responsibilitiesTechnical LeadershipServe as subject matter expert for payroll operations across assigned countriesLead payroll components in M&A and expansion projectsDesign and implement robust control frameworksMaintain compliance with local regulationsDevelop comprehensive technical documentation and knowledge basesProcess ExcellenceDrive end-to-end payroll improvement initiativesLead root cause analysis for complex payroll issuesImplement and optimize payroll processesProvide expert consultation on strategic initiativesMonitor and enhance operational effectivenessStakeholder ManagementBuild and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholdersProvide expert guidance to cross‑functional teamsLead process improvement consultationsDrive collaborative solutions across departmentsMentoringMentor team membersRecognize team strengths and growth areasBasic QualificationsExcellent customer service orientation3+ years payroll/HR experienceFluency in English plus ItalianAdvanced user of MS Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, formulas)Deep controllership / statutory compliance knowledge (tax, labour code, social security, garnishments, pension, benefits, terminations)Ability to deal with ambiguity and competing objectives in a fast‑paced environmentDemonstrated stakeholder management skillsProcess optimization expertiseExperience leading complex data analysisProficient in obtaining, organizing, and analyzing data to make fact‑based decisions and driveTrack record of identifying root causes and implementing preventive solutions at scalePreferred Qualifications5+ years of experience in European or Middle East country payroll operationsDeep controllership / statutory compliance knowledge (tax, labour code, social security, garnishments, pension, benefits, terminations)Experience in leading projectsExperience in cross‑functional team environmentsAmazon is an equal opportunities employer.
