Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Rotary Wing Flight Simulator Coordinator and Team Leader to lead the development, integration, and operation of a helicopter flight simulation system. The successful candidate will act as the technical and hierarchical reference for a small multidisciplinary team within a larger organizational structure, ensuring the delivery and continuous improvement of high-fidelity simulation solutions for engineering purposes.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and lead the activities related to the development, integration, and maintenance of a rotary-wing flight simulator.
* Act as technical leader and hierarchical manager for a small team, ensuring alignment with program objectives and company standards.
* Contribute directly to the development of simulation software, including models, tools, and supporting applications.
* Define, develop, and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICD) and technical specifications for simulator subsystems.
* Manage and coordinate internal and external suppliers, overseeing software and hardware development activities, technical compliance, planning, and deliverables.
* Interface with other departments (engineering, training, IT...) within a larger organizational structure.
* Support simulator validation, qualification, and acceptance activities.
* Promote continuous improvement, innovation, and problem-solving within the team.Required Experience and Qualifications* Exper/Senior
- Minimum 5 years of proven experience in the flight simulation domain, preferably on rotary-wing (helicopter) simulators; 10+ years of experience is highly desirable.
* Solid background in flight simulation systems, real-time architectures, and simulator environments.
* Proven experience in software development (simulation, real-time systems, or related engineering software).
* Strong experience in writing and managing ICDs and technical documentation.
* Demonstrated capability in supplier management, including coordination of internal teams and external vendors for software and hardware development.
* Previous experience in a team leadership or coordination role is required.Skills & Competencies* Leadership and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively within complex organizational structures.
* Excellent problem-solving attitude, proactive mindset, and strong sense of ownership.
* Well-developed soft skills, including communication, collaboration, and conflict management.
* Ability to manage priorities, schedules, and technical interfaces effectively.
* Highly motivated, self-driven, and results-oriented.Language Requirements* Fluent English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.Preferred Attributes* Experience in certified or high-fidelity simulators (training, engineering, or certification by simulation contexts).
* Familiarity with aerospace quality standards and development processes.
