This scope covers high‑tech intelligent sorter and conveyors and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) and sort slides including carts, cages, trolleys, and hand pallet trucks (CCTH). It also covers control and related hardware, including software such as PLC, HMI, SCADA, VFDs, etc. The role requires problem‑solving PLC code, complex field‑bus I/O, and SCADA systems, understanding of warehouse control systems and telegrams, experience in building, commissioning, or troubleshooting electrical control and instrumentation panels, and knowledge of integrated MHE conveyor systems within the fulfillment center and systems that interact outside of it.ResponsibilitiesUnderstand flow of processes and industrial communication protocols (Profibus, Profinet, Ethernet/IP) and demonstrate ability to problem‑solve those systems.Experience with barcode recognition technology and reading/updating electrical and controls schematics and documentation, SOPs and VSOPs.Analyze metrics and data to identify system and machine optimization opportunities.Experience with change‑management processes.Work within a shift team, lead resolution of controls‑related issues and improvements.Commission special‑purpose machinery.Knowledge of machine safety regulations and safe working practices.Basic understanding of IT systems such as IP networking, server architecture, and SQL databases.Experience working within controls or electrical projects as part of a team.Basic QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering.Preferred Qualifications1+ year(s) of experience in industrial automation (PLC/SCADA).Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
