The HW Pack DRE is responsible for managing all the design integration related topics in terms of integrating the component into the final vehicle architecture and also coordinating and managing the integration of the subcomponents in the given design space.

In this sense the DRE must take in consideration all the activities related to layout definition, packaging and DMU analysis, tolerance stuck up analysis, design integration and related validation actions, CODEP Support and Change management but also plant support and issue management.

Main Activities:

  • Coordination of Battery Pack Design Integration Activities (from plan definition, passing through design activities coordination, simulation result implementation and final physical validation. Important topics are also support to STLA plant or homologation)
  • Execute and approve the Battery Pack Design Release
  • Ensure the reporting and the escalations towards the projects at the battery pack level for hardware topics
  • Lead the RFI, RFQ and follow the supplier in the case of the battery buy pack
  • Ensure the synthesis of the Virtual and Physical validations plans and report at the battery pack level
  • ·Ensure the implementation of the hardware deliverables by the Pack Safety Technical manager: technical safety concept, Hazard Analysis & Risk Assessment Report, component safety report
  • Coordinate the Work (validations, readiness) with component DREs on modules, cooling, venting, housing, Busbar, BDU, wiring design.
  • For buy battery pack, approve the global supplier validation plan.
