Our customers trust us to handle their data with air‑tight security measures, which is something that we guarantee.AWS is growing rapidly, and we are looking for a Data Center Security Specialist (DSS) to join our expanding Infrastructure Operations team to manage and improve site security operations in our data centers.Key Job ResponsibilitiesManaging physical security operationsDeveloping post orders and defining security proceduresHandling site incidents, working with security equipment, and participating in construction projectsDriving day‑to‑day process improvement activities and managing vendorsEnsuring consistent deployment of all required security policies and proceduresParticipating in recurring site audits and reviews, and testing new security technologiesMust have and demonstrate resilient leadership skills, flexibility to work in a dynamic environment, exceptional knowledge of security practices, and strong written and verbal communication.About the TeamAWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep our customers’ innovations running. The team includes software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers who collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Criminology/Criminal Justice or a relevant fieldExperience using CCTV, access control and intrusion systemsExperience with Microsoft Office toolsPreferred QualificationsExperience with various Access/Intrusion control Systems in a Control room environment1+ years of security operations oversight experienceAmazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $43,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $94,100/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
