Head of Technical Services

Overview Quintas Energy Italy is seeking a Technical Services Lead to play a role in driving the growth of our technical asset management and advisory services business in Italy. This leadership role combines strategic development responsibilities with the oversight of technical service delivery, ensuring the highest standards of quality, innovation, and client satisfaction. You will report directly to the Country Manager of Quintas Energy Italy while working in close collaboration with the Group Heads of Technical Asset Management and Quintas Advisory. Responsibilities Provide technical leadership and guidance to service teams managing Quintas client portfolios in Italy. Contribute to the strategic development of the technical services business, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation. Stay at the forefront of renewable energy technologies, assessing their potential and applicability to client portfolios. Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Ensure full compliance with Italian and European regulatory frameworks for renewable energy. Identify and mitigate technical risks, providing troubleshooting support throughout project lifecycles. Act as the primary technical point of contact for major clients, ensuring long-term relationships and trust. Provide expert support during negotiations and execution of client contracts. Deliver client presentations, proposals, and technical reports with clarity and impact. Lead and support commercial activities, including proposals and professional advisory engagements. Contribute to expanding Quintas' repository of best-practice technical and commercial documentation. Manage and mentor technical teams, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and professional growth. Coordinate cross-functional and multinational collaboration with engineering, finance, legal, and environmental specialists. Location and Working Hours Location: Based at Quintas Energy's Rome office with flexible working arrangements. Working Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week. Qualifications and Experience Experience: 5–10 years of professional experience in the renewable energy sector, preferably within solar PV, or battery storage asset management or technical advisory. Leadership: Proven track record in managing multidisciplinary technical teams and complex projects. Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of renewable energy systems, project development, operations, and performance optimization. Regulatory Awareness: Familiarity with Italian and European regulatory frameworks governing renewable energy projects. Communication: Excellent interpersonal and client-facing skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly and persuasively. Languages: Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written) is essential; additional European languages are an advantage. Education: Degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, or related field. A postgraduate qualification (MSc/MBA) will be considered a plus. Mindset: Strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, problem-solving skills, and a strong client-oriented mentality.
