About the Company Pragmatike is hiring for a European tech company building distributed, peer-to-peer cloud systems and next-generation backend infrastructure . The team focuses on scalability, reliability, and performance , delivering resilient cloud alternatives designed for high-availability enterprise workloads. About the Role Were looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to help build the core distributed systems that power the companys cloud platform. Youll design and deliver scalable backend services , develop peer-to-peer networking features , and collaborate with a team of skilled engineers working on secure, fault-tolerant infrastructure . This is a hands-on, impact-driven role where youll influence architecture decisions , drive technical excellence , and shape how modern cloud systems are built without the constraints of legacy infrastructure. Youll thrive if you enjoy clean code, deep system challenges , and the freedom to experiment and innovate within a high-ownership engineering culture. What You\'ll Do Build and optimize backend services and APIs in Go . Develop distributed and peer-to-peer systems ensuring scalability and reliability. Contribute to system design, architecture, and deployment pipelines . Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. Collaborate closely with product, design, and infrastructure teams to deliver robust solutions. What You\'ll Bring 7+ years experience as a Senior or Lead Backend Engineer. Strong skills in Go or Java , with knowledge of REST, JSON, design patterns, and concurrency . Experience with Docker, Kubernetes , and cloud environments ( AWS, Azure, or OVH ). Familiarity with Agile practices and CI / CD workflows. Bonus : experience building high-availability or distributed systems at scale. Why Join us?
