Each year, around 21.6 million people are displaced by hazards such as floods, storms, wildfires, and droughts. To address these challenges, IOM’s Climate Mobility Innovation Lab (CMIL) develops scalable solutions, including the Risk Index for Climate Displacement to anticipate future hotspots and the Climate Catalytic Fund to support quick-impact, locally led resilience projects. These efforts aim to strengthen anticipatory responses and protect vulnerable communities in a rapidly warming world.
