Quality Assurance Engineer I (Full Time Contractor), Ops and TransportationQuality Assurance Engineers at Amazon test applications and products at the user level and code level, both manually and with automated tools. Our QAEs are not pure black‑box testers; they understand software internals, debug problems using log files, and write automated tests with scripting tools and/or user‑level automated tools. QAEs at Amazon are excellent individual contributors capable of taking tasks from start to completion with minimal help. They are responsible for understanding the domain and the product in detail, developing test strategy and planning, creating test cases, driving the test case sign‑off process with stakeholders, contributing to code‑level unit tests, and performing test execution and reporting.Key Job ResponsibilitiesQAEs will understand the domain and product in detail, devise test strategy and planning, create test cases, lead the test case sign‑off process with stakeholders, contribute to unit tests, execute tests, and report results.Basic Qualifications1+ years of quality assurance engineering experienceBachelor’s degreeExperience in manual testingExperience in automation testingExperience in UI and API automation testing (Selenium/SOAPUI)Experience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and controlPreferred QualificationsExperience in API & Mobile testingExperience in Front‑end testingExperience in Test AutomationExperience in API & Mobile testingExperience designing and planning test conditions, test scripts, and test data sets to ensure appropriate and adequate coverage and controlAbout the TeamWe are the RoW‑Ops Team and we enable new features and products for IN and ROW (Rest of World) marketplaces.
