ABOUT ANTONINA POPPY


Antonina Poppy is a Florence-based luxury fashion studio working across fashion design, couture, textiles, craftsmanship, and creative development . Based in a private studio in the centre of Florence , the house combines meticulous craftsmanship with contemporary design and artistic research, creating bespoke pieces, ready-to-wear collections, statement garments, and unique textile works. As a small and independent creative studio, we offer interns the opportunity to work closely with the designer and gain hands-on experience within the daily life of a fashion house.


We are currently looking for motivated, creative and reliable interns to join our studio on a part-time and flexible basis across several areas:


DESIGN & FASHION

  • Fashion Design & Development
  • Couture Sewing & Garment Construction
  • Pattern Making & Draping
  • Textile & Material Development
  • Creative Research


For design and sewing positions, practical experience with sewing machines , pattern making, draping or garment construction is a strong advantage.


PR, COMMUNICATION & MARKETING

  • PR & Communications
  • Fashion Marketing
  • Social Media & Content Creation
  • Brand Development
  • Creative Communications


THE ROLE

Depending on your background and interests, you may assist with:

  • Fashion and couture design development
  • Fabric, textile and material research
  • Pattern making, draping and garment development
  • Sewing, garment construction and couture finishing
  • Fittings and alterations
  • Moodboards, visual research and creative concepts
  • Photoshoots and content production
  • Social media and digital content
  • PR and communications
  • Research into press, media, creatives and collaborations
  • Marketing and brand development
  • Presentations and creative materials
  • Exhibitions, events and special projects
  • General day-to-day activities within the studio


We are particularly interested in people who enjoy working hands-on in a creative studio environment and are curious about seeing how ideas develop from initial research and concept through to the finished piece.

PART-TIME & FLEXIBLE


  • The internships are primarily part-time , making them suitable for students, recent graduates, or individuals looking to gain practical experience alongside their studies or other professional commitments.
  • Days and hours can be discussed according to the needs of the studio and the intern's availability.
  • The internships are on-site in our studio in the centre of Florence .
