Solution/Software Architect

This role will play a key part in designing, governing, and evolving software architectures, helping to define guidelines, standards, and scalable solutions to support company growth and innovation.Main ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the evolution of software architectures and end-to-end application solutions.Establish standards, best practices, and guidelines for software development, ensuring consistency and technical quality.Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, backend, database, cloud, security) to ensure solution robustness.Support and mentor developers, providing technical guidance and fostering skill development.Evaluate innovative technologies (cloud, microservices, AI integration, data streaming) and propose their adoption.Design distributed, secure, resilient, and easily maintainable architectures.Ensure compliance with regulations and requirements specific to the regulated industry.Document architectural decisions, promoting clarity and transparency in processes.Act as a technical reference point for internal stakeholders, translating business needs into concrete solutions.RequirementsDegree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.At least 7–8 years of software development experience and 3–5 years in architectural roles.Strong knowledge of .NET, Angular, Flutter, or equivalent technologies.Experience with microservices architectures, REST/GraphQL APIs, and complex enterprise systems.Solid knowledge of relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Oracle) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis).Experience with event streaming systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, RisingWave).Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders, combining strategic vision with a pragmatic approach.Good command of English.Preferred QualificationsExperience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP) and related services.Knowledge of cloud security and enterprise governance principles.Experience with serverless architectures and event-driven and/or data-driven models.Ability to provide technical coordination and mentoring to other developers.Cloud certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect).What you will find at LottomaticaThe opportunity to work in the largest gaming and betting company in Italy and one of the largest in the world.A highly dynamic environment where you can strengthen existing skills and acquire new ones.The chance to be challenged in delivering impactful solutions for large organizations and make a direct impact on their employees.Opportunities to participate in charitable, legal, and social responsibility projects through the Lottomatica Foundation.A corporate DNA model where Inclusion, Diversity, Excellence, and Collaboration are the core pillars.Be part of the world’s number one company in the sector for ESG commitment.What we offerPermanent contract and hybrid work model.Latest-generation laptop and tools.Continuous training on both hard and soft skills.Annual gross salary based on experience (from €45K to €55K).Lottomatica implements a policy that guarantees equal opportunities and promotes diversity and inclusion, against all forms of discrimination.
