Buildings Mechanical (HVAC) and plumbing engineerDirect message the job poster from TECNIMONTConsultant presso Intermedia Selection srlTecnimont, MAIRE’s flagship company for Integrated E&C solutions with a presence in multiple countries, is an established powerhouse in the realm of innovative engineering and construction services, crafting the infrastructure for tomorrow's world.Tecnimont is seeking Buildings Mechanical (HVAC) and plumbing engineer to join our team in Catania.The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing integrated solutions for complex plants designed to provide access to the latest technologies in our large-scale projects worldwide.If you are passionate about making a meaningful impact in reducing the carbon footprint of industrial operations, we encourage you to apply.With a rich heritage of technological innovation and a forward‑thinking approach, we lead the energy transition through engineering excellence, cutting‑edge technology and strong and dynamic execution capability.To learn more about Tecnimont: Tecnimont - Official Website | TecnimontThe Recruitment process is managed by Key2People, a partner of Tecnimont.Key Activities & ResponsibilitiesMechanical (HVAC) and Plumbing Systems design for Civil and Industrial buildings related to the assigned project, based on the guidelines of relevant specification and contractual document or received by Building Design Leader in agreement with other disciplines.Optimization of the choices from a technical and economic point of view in accordance with the budget and scheduled time.Discipline design development according to the main international standards (EN, NFPA, ASHRAE, ISO, etc.) and in compliance with Tecnimont standards and work instructions.Mechanical (HVAC) and Plumbing equipment design and sizing by discipline application software, functional schematics and technical specifications based on:heat loss calculation of cooling loads and heat requirements, pressure drop, psychometric charts etc;schematics and layouts for HVAC and mechanical equipment;heating and cooling load and equipment performance selection (pumps, fans, compressors, boilers, chillers), calculation and systems’ documentation;plumbing including sanitary water systems, water supply and drainage systems.Interface and coordination tasks based on all the related Equipment disciplines and Architectural requirements according to the design information.Material Requisition and Work Requisition preparation in proposal and detailed design phases according main technical specification, contractual and economic requirements;Technical support in bill of quantities preparation in proposal, detailed design and construction phases.Client design review follow up, support in technical clarifications, comments and following design modifications.Mechanical (HVAC) and Plumbing Specialist or Building Design Leader field engineering assistance for technical process approval, shop drawings and vendor’s material follow up, test and commissioning activities.Personal AttributesMaster’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or similar technical field.Minimum 3 years of experience in HVAC & Plumbing design processes, for example design philosophies for buildings: Control Rooms, Electrical Substations, Laboratories, Administration buildings, Process Buildings/Shelters (like Pump House, Compressor House).Knowledge of HVAC & Plumbing main international standards.Field work experience and confidence working in and around Industrial Plant (petrochemical, oil & gas) equipment, systems and conditions will be a plus;Experience of working with MEP Subcontractors;Knowledge of drafting tools (AutoCAD) and BIM Tools (REVIT, Navisworks) as well as of HVAC and Plumbing main design software (CARRIER HAP, REVIT integrated software’s as MAGICAD);Competence in Energy modelling‑analysis of non‑residential buildings;Knowledge of green building rating systems (LEED or equivalent);Team‑oriented, self‑motivated with problem resolution, good inter‑personal and communication skills.Fluent English speaker and writer.Availability to travel for short periods in Italy and abroad.Seniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionEngineering, Manufacturing, and Project ManagementIndustries: Oil and Gas, Civil Engineering, and Design ServicesReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at TECNIMONT by 2xGet notified about new Mechanical Engineer jobs in Catania, Sicily, Italy .#J-18808-Ljbffr
