What You'll Do – Your Mission As an application engineer, you’ll provide technical advice and guidance on the product and service capabilities of James Walker’s broad product range, ensuring internal and external stakeholders and customers are communicated to and supported effectively. Responsibilities Evaluate and provide product technical support to internal and external customers for queries that require technical solutions, including on‑site support. Proactively support sales opportunities where the technical offering is key to order realization and/or valued by the customer. Provide conceptual proposals of sealing and material solutions for customers. Provide and support product and application training for internal and external sales staff. Identify the need for new products and materials and support the Manufacturing Business Units for projects that impact the Italian and global market. Recognize and interpret international, national, customer and company specifications. Produce and assist in the production of technical material and data for use by James Walker employees. What You Bring Sealing and polymer application knowledge. Ability to read and create engineering drawings. Skill to interpret and analyze engineering data. Practical engineering skills. Native‑level proficiency in Italian and professional knowledge of English. Preferred Specialist knowledge of James Walker product types and applications, ideally including power, valve, marine industries and high‑performance elastomer products.
