hlpy, born in 2020, is roadside assistance company founded by visionaries who saw a gap in the market and redefined the industry with a cutting-edge digital solution.What started as a bold idea in Italy quickly expanded to France and Spain, and GermanyAs we continue to scale globally, our ambition and market demand propel us toward becoming a major force in the sector.Are you ready to be part of this journey?Role OverviewWe are looking for a Senior Java Script Engineer to join our product engineering team and take a leading role in building scalable, high-quality frontend applications.You will work on core product features, contribute to frontend architecture and design system evolution, and collaborate closely with backend engineers and product teams.This is a hands-on senior role, combining strong technical execution with architectural thinking and mentorship.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintain modern frontend applications using Java Script and Type Script.Lead and contribute to the adoption and evolution of frontend frameworks (e.g. Vue, React, Angular).Design, implement, and maintain a Design System (components, tokens, guidelines) used across multiple products.Build scalable, reusable, and accessible UI components.Work closely with backend teams to design, consume, and evolve APIs (REST / Graph QL).Translate product and UX requirements into robust technical solutions.Ensure high code quality through reviews, testing, and best practices.Optimize frontend performance, accessibility, and maintainability.Mentor junior engineers and actively contribute to frontend standards and guidelines. Technical RequirementsMust HaveStrong experience with Java Script (ES6+) and Type Script.Deep hands-on experience with modern frontend frameworks(Vue but React or Angular are also valid).Proven experience in Design System implementation, including:Component librariesTheming and design tokensDocumentation and usage guidelinesSolid experience working with APIs:REST and/or Graph QLAPI contracts and data modelingError handling and performance considerationsStrong understanding of frontend architecture and state management patterns.Experience with modern build tools and tooling (Vite, Webpack, ESLint, etc.).Familiarity with testing frameworks (Jest, Testing Library, Cypress, etc.).Excellent knowledge of Git and collaborative development workflows. Nice to HaveExperience with monorepos and shared frontend libraries.Exposure to micro-frontend architectures.Experience with accessibility standards (WCAG).Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and frontend deployment workflows.Basic understanding of backend technologies and cloud environments. Soft SkillsStrong problem-solving and analytical mindset.Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.High attention to code quality, usability, and long-term maintainability.Clear communication skills, both technical and non-technical.Mentorship attitude and willingness to raise the overall frontend bar. Education & ExperienceDegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.5+ years of professional experience in frontend or Java Script-focused roles.Demonstrated experience working on production-grade, user-facing products.
