YOUR ROLE

We are looking for a WebSphere System Administrator to join an enterprise environment, responsible for administering, configuring, and supporting IBM WebSphere Application Server Traditional and Liberty environments on on-premise infrastructures. The successful candidate will contribute to the management and evolution of middleware platforms, working closely with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Administer and manage IBM WebSphere Application Server Traditional (Full Profile) and WebSphere Liberty environments on on-premise infrastructures;
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain WebSphere cells, application servers, clusters, and middleware resources;
  • Plan and execute migration activities between different versions of WebSphere Traditional and Liberty;
  • Automate application deployments, middleware configurations, and operational activities using wsadmin , Jython /Jacl scripting, and Ansible ;
  • Configure and manage JDBC and JMS resources, Data Sources, Connection Factories, and messaging queues;
  • Manage cell federation and distributed configurations across WebSphere environments;
  • Implement and maintain observability, monitoring, and distributed tracing solutions using tools such as Instana and Dynatrace;
  • Manage the lifecycle of SSL/TLS certificates , keystores, and truststores, ensuring secure communication between systems;
  • Configure and integrate WebSphere with enterprise authentication services, including LDAP and Identity Providers ;
  • Collaborate with application, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to continuously improve middleware platforms.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience managing IBM WebSphere Application Server Traditional and Liberty ;
  • Knowledge of wsadmin , Jython /Jacl , and Ansible ;
  • Knowledge of JDBC, JMS , and the main WebSphere architectures;
  • Experience with observability and monitoring tools, preferably Instana and/or Dynatrace;
