Listed on the Milan Stock Exchange, it is present in more than 50 countries and employs about 30,000 people of over 130 nationalities.Purpose of the position: As Automation & Control System Engineer you will be part of the Energy Carriers Business Line, within the Smaut Department.ResponsibilitiesRead, analyze, review and mechanize P&IDsDevelop and review Block Diagrams, Control Narratives, Sequence Flow Charts, Cause and Effect Diagrams, Logic Diagrams, Instrument Loop DiagramsPopulate and maintain Project Control Systems I/Os DatabasesInterpret and apply codes & standards and customer design requirements for Control Systems design productsDevelop Discipline Specifications and RequisitionsEvaluate Specifications and Vendor QuotationsSupport Packages/Mechanical Systems Department in reviewing supplier data to determine control and instrumentation functional requirementsReview Vendor Functional Design Specifications/Drawings/Procedures/Manuals for technical complianceAttend and perform Control Systems FAT/IFAT and SAT and witness vendor compliance with project requirementsInteract with Client representatives, Vendors and Subcontractors on technical topicsSupport proposal efforts in bids by preparing man-hour estimates and planning activitiesWhat are we looking for?Education: Master’s Degree in Automation & Control System Engineering or equivalentExperience: Minimum of 6/8 years related experience in LNG/Gas Process/Refinery and Petrochemical industries. Prior experience as a Senior Control Systems Engineer with a reputable International EPC contractor on mid to large scale projects. Detailed knowledge of Control and Safety Systems (DCS, ESD/SIS, F&G, PLCs, MMS, CCS, RTU, SCADA). Familiar with Control and Safety Systems codes and standards both domestic and international. SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation) knowledge.Languages: Excellent written and spoken English (B2 level)Technical Skills: Detailed knowledge and direct experience with Control and Safety Systems (DCS, ESD/SIS, F&G, PLCs, MMS, CCS, RTU, SCADA). Familiar with related codes and standards.
