We are looking for a Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team in a Luxury 5-Star Hotel , supporting the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in daily kitchen operations and contributing to the consistent delivery of exceptional quality, hygiene, and presentation standards.This role represents a key step in a professional culinary career, combining hands-on operations, leadership development, and exposure to high-level service within a dynamic, international environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCulinary Operations & QualitySupport daily kitchen operations across all sections (hot, cold, pastry, banqueting)Ensure consistency in food preparation, plating, timing, and presentationOversee mise en place and support peak service periods and special eventsEnsure compliance with recipes, portioning, HACCP, and hygiene standardsFinancial & SustainabilitySupport portion control, waste reduction, and proper inventory rotationAssist with stock monitoring and food cost awarenessPromote sustainable practices, including the use of local and seasonal ingredients and efficient product usageLeadership & Team DevelopmentSupervise and mentor junior team members (Commis, Apprentices)Support onboarding, training, and day-to-day guidanceFoster a positive, inclusive, and collaborative kitchen cultureInnovation & CollaborationContribute ideas during menu development and seasonal promotionsSupport tastings, events, and new dish rolloutsCollaborate closely with the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure operational excellenceCandidate ProfilePrevious experience in quality hotel or restaurant kitchens; luxury hospitality experience is a strong plusSolid culinary fundamentals, strong attention to detail, and passion for food qualityAbility to perform under pressure while maintaining consistency and organizationTeam-oriented professional with strong values of care, respect, integrity, and continuous learning
