Data Center Technicians must work independently and with a team, prioritize tasks, and react quickly. They install equipment, create documentation, innovate solutions, and fix problems in a 24/7 environment, with required travel within and outside the regional work area.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform server rack installations, hardware break‑fix, troubleshoot network issues, and respond to operational incidents.Serve as the primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders.Participate in on‑call duties, scheduled maintenance, and change‑management activities.Contribute to documentation and process improvement initiatives.Help train and onboard new team members.Physical RequirementsLift up to 40 pounds regularly; participate in group lifts for 41+ pounds.Work in cramped and/or elevated locations.Bend, lift, stretch, and reach regularly.Stand and walk for up to 8+ hours a day.Ascend and descend ladders, stairs, and gangways safely.Work in a noisy environment and on shifts longer than 8 hours to support 24/7 operations.Essential RequirementsAbility to travel to or commute between data center locations as needed.Willingness to temporarily work at alternative sites during training periods.Travel frequency varies based on business needs.Must commute over 50 miles or less than 50 miles as required.Basic QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.1+ year of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.Preferred QualificationsExperience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.Experience working in a data center environment.Associate’s degree, technical certification, or equivalent professional or military experience in a relevant field.Understanding of network design, protocols, and layer 1/2 troubleshooting.NotesAmazon does not sponsor for immigration, including for H‑1B, TN, and other non‑immigrant visas, for this role.Lump sum stipend will be provided to eligible candidates who relocate for this position.BenefitsThe base salary range for this position is listed below.
