Financial Aid Freshman Advisor – Cartersville-Bartow County Chamber of CommerceThe financial aid advisor has the primary responsibility of packaging financial aid for all incoming students. The advisor communicates financial aid packages to students and their families and assists with any questions they might have. The financial aid advisor is responsible for creating PowerPoints for student orientations and is also the presenter at events, including Preview Days, Orientation Week, and high school financial aid nights.Job DescriptionSee detailed duties and qualifications below.Job Duties IncludeImport student data from admissions into PowerFAIDS while monitoring data and process integrityCoordinate with admissions the scholarship amounts for incoming students.Help ensure financial aid awards for student athletes are in compliance with NCAA regulations.Evaluate student eligibility for federal and state aid programs.Process federal, state, and institutional financial aid for all incoming students accurately and in a timely manner complying with all applicable policies and procedures.Counsel with parents and students as necessary to explain their financial aid package and options for paying the remaining balance on their bill.Supervise student workers in the financial aid officeEnsure students are completing financial aid tasks in a timely and efficient mannerAssist with monitoring Office mail, e-mail, and phone communications and responding in a timely mannerPrepare presentation and materials at all new student orientationsAssist Residence Life staff by being part of the team that represents Financial Aid staff at all move-in daysOther duties as assignedJob QualificationsBachelor’s degree preferredExceptional customer service skills requiredStrong analytical abilitiesAbility to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detailMaintain confidentiality of student recordsStay up to date on federal, state and institutional financial aid policiesAbility to quickly and accurately learn and implement new processesExperience in PowerFAIDs and Jenzabar preferredSome travel will be requiredApply For Financial Aid Advisor Using The Link BelowLetter Of Application, Unofficial Transcripts Of All Academic Work, Statement Of Faith, Resume, And Three Current Letters Of Reference ToHuman ResourcesShorter University315 Shorter AvenueRome, Georgia 30165Shorter University is a Christ-centered University affiliated with the Georgia Baptist Mission Board and requires employees to be committed Christians.Transforming Lives Through ChristSeniority levelEntry levelEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionEducation and TrainingIndustriesNon-profit Organization Management#J-18808-Ljbffr
