With more than 17 billion devices produced and 1.2 billion units shipped annually, Cortus is a Platinum Founding Member of the RISC‑V Foundation.We are expanding our Hardware Design team in Italy (Lecce, Puglia) and are looking for experienced Senior Digital IC Design Engineers .Your RoleAs a Senior Digital IC Design Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of complex digital ICs, including SoCs and IP cores. You will be involved throughout the full ASIC/IC/MMCU lifecycle, from specification to tape‑out, and provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.ResponsibilitiesLead the RTL implementation of digital IPs and SoCs (SystemVerilog or VHDL)Design complex state machines, datapaths, arbitration, and clock‑domain crossing logicEnsure functional verification, code coverage, and timing closureDefine and apply DFT strategies for the designsParticipate in project planning, scheduling, and reportingMentor junior engineers and support cross‑functional collaborationQualificationsMSc/BSc in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related fieldExtensive experience in digital IC design and RTL implementationStrong knowledge of digital design tools (ModelSim, Libero, Git/GitLab)Solid understanding of DFT techniquesProven communication skills and ability to work across teamsProficiency in English (written & spoken)Preferred / Nice to HaveProcessor ISA knowledge (Cortus ISA, RISC‑V, ARM, etc.)DDR memory interface or DSP design experienceExposure to AI/ML hardware acceleratorsSoftware experience in C/C++Scripting experience (Python, Perl, Shell)Familiarity with real‑time embedded systemsWhat We OfferCompetitive salary packageCollaborative, innovative environment with career growth opportunitiesInterested?Send your CV to: Key DetailsSeniority level: Mid‑Senior levelEmployment type: Full‑timeJob function: Engineering and Information TechnologyIndustries: Semiconductor ManufacturingReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Cortus SAS by 2xSign up for job alertsWe’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
