WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR System Administrator Linux – Freelance or Fixed-Term Location:on-site, 5 days/week Join our client’selite technical team in Rome , supporting key activities forEuropean space programs . The company is a long-standing partner ofspace agencies and institutions , with deep expertise inIT systems, operations, and engineering supportfor ground segment infrastructures. We are looking for ahands-on System Administratorwith asolid Linux background , familiarity withdatabases , and aB2 level of English . If you’re curious about space, eager to work in a structured and international environment, and ready to support a technically robust environment — this role is for you. YOUR TASKS Provideoperational and system-level supportfor test and validation environments Support thewriting and review of technical documentation Participate insystem verification and validation activities Interface with technical teams during testing and deployment phases Assist withmonitoring, log analysis , andproblem troubleshooting Collaborate with engineers to ensuresystem integrityduring operational phases YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Good knowledge of Linux environmentsFamiliarity with at least onerelational database(e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, etc.)English proficiency (minimum B2)— written and spokenAbility towork on-site 5 days per week in RomeProactive attitude and willingness to collaborate in a teamNice to have: Previous experience intechnical documentationortest validationExperience withvirtualization(e.g., VMware)Knowledge ofbasic scriptingor automationBackground in aerospace/space/defense sectorsEXTRA INFORMATION Work location:Rome(Tor Tre Teste area – well connected by public transport and with parking available) Work mode:100% on-site ,5 days per week (Monday to Friday) Type of contract:Freelance or Fixed-Term ContractuntilJanuary 2026 Possible extension , depending on project evolutionCompetitivecorporate benefits package .
