Job Overview
This role will be responsible for the clinical aspects of the Organ Care System (OCS Lung/Liver/Heart) and support the use of the OCS in Italy and other geographies as needed.
Responsibilities
- Following hands‑on training and OCS certification in all relevant organ platforms, apply OCS knowledge during organ retrieval, preservation, transport and assessment according to TransMedics protocols and policies
- Work full‑time on a variable on‑call schedule to cover cases as required, including nights, weekends and holidays
- Travel as needed to clinical sites within the EU transplant network and other geographies to support OCS cases
- Communicate regularly with the TransMedics EU Clinical Programs and Training Lead to relay real‑time updates and elevate issues
- Support national and regional events by providing clinical expertise to the sales team, customers, and prospective customers
- Prepare (with support and review of senior colleagues) and present internal case reviews following the use of OCS
- Manage equipment stored at the logistics hub in Rome or Padua on a weekly basis (preventative maintenance, inventory counts and testing)
- Support site initiation, assist with refresher training and provide clinical guidance to users
- Collaborate with cross‑functional TransMedics departments to drive adoption of the OCS technology in the Italian market and beyond
- Assist with delivering training to the sales team about OCS functionality
- Conduct literature analysis and present findings to management
- Conduct market and competitive analysis
- Attend national and international congresses as required
- Perform other TransMedics tasks and duties as required
Qualifications
- Fluent in written and spoken Italian and English
- Reside close to one of the hubs
- Hold a degree in Techniques of Cardiocirculatory Pathophysiology and Vascular Perfusion (or equivalent) plus at least 3 years of relevant clinical experience or a BSN with experience in CVICU, CVOR, CATH LAB, ED, or Transplant, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Highly flexible and willing to support sites on nights, holidays and weekends as needed
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational skills
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with proven ability to establish and maintain long‑term trusted relationships (internally and externally)
- Excellent customer‑facing and customer‑engagement skills
- Strong work ethic and accountable for personal and organizational results
- Proven track record of working calmly and professionally in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Computer literacy with Microsoft Office and Concur expense management
