Sr Software Development Engineer, DSP Tech The Delivery Service Partner (DSP) Tech team is at the heart of Amazon's transportation network, supporting scalable, innovative, and cost-effective delivery operations globally. Our platforms are designed for global use and leverage multi-tenant technology, enabling Amazon and hundreds of developers to innovate and grow at scale. Key Job Responsibilities As a Sr SDE, you are expected to have expertise in full‑stack software development, including customer‑facing applications and backend services essential for efficient last‑mile delivery operations. You must have the vision and technical expertise to build solutions that help DSPs and Amazon in enhancing vehicle safety and compliance, and optimizing vehicle maintenance and utilization, thereby reducing the total cost of operations. You will be responsible for the overall architecture of the Last Mile Fleet tech team owned systems, ensuring the team builds the right solutions that address customer requirements and business use cases. You make critical decisions on architectural components, technology choices, and design patterns across the teams and in design forums promoting engineering best practices. You collaborate with the SDM to adopt best practices for operational and engineering excellence. You resolve disagreements by leading inclusive, constructive dialogue with team members and related teams. Basic Qualifications5+ years of non‑internship professional software development experience 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering teamPreferred Qualifications5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentOur inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
