General Role Description Provide Technical Advisory Services (TAS) to coordinate installation and commissioning activities for assigned projects while meeting project schedules and performance criteria.Role Accountabilities Commissioning, Warranty and Post-Sales Service Gather pertinent information from authorized sources to assess project requirements as related to assigned scope of work Commissioning of AC and DC voltage VSD’s in Low and Medium voltage range up to 11kV to meet design and/or required performance criteria to meet contractual commitmentsTroubleshooting and problem-solving assistance during commissioning, warranty service or maintenance activitiesProvide suggested improvements to Clients Compile accurate reports after commissioning or service activitiesReport any possible improvements in quality and process Provide regular, accurate, and timely commissioning status reports to parties deemed appropriate to the situation as required General Share best practices in implementing commissioning procedures to improve field engineering performanceRecommend software or hardware improvements to engineering departmentMaintain current safety qualifications appropriate to the assigned tasks and adhere to both Company and Client safety requirementsEnsure proper safety equipment is available and in good working condition, as assigned Coach associates in specific areas of technical expertise when identified by management as a function expertTrain Client personnel on system maintenance procedures and/or system operation to ensure optimum performance and minimum downtime Contribute to project planning for commissioning events to support the business when assigned General Employee Accountabilities Bring full effort to bear on tasks assigned by managerGive manager best advice Give earliest notice when work cannot be delivered as specifiedCooperate and collaborate with peers and interact cross-organizationally as specified by manager Exemplify Company Core Values: Teamwork and Accountability, Integrity, Client Focus, Driving ProgressComply with all Company policies, practices, and procedures and all regulations and laws Recommend viable improvements proactively Ensure effective utilization of business tools and processes Minimum Qualifications High school diploma in electro-technical subjects.4 years’ field engineering experience or 4 years’ experience working in the metals, container port, paper, oil & gas or general industries. Basic knowledge of hydraulic and mechanical systems related to industrial application of VSD’s.Basic knowledge of power semiconductors: Thyristors, IGBT’s, IEGT’s, IGCT’s.Basic knowledge of electrical distribution systems (circuit breakers, metal clad switchgear, metal enclosures, etc.) Demonstrated ability to collaborate within teams across different functional areas Demonstrated ability to work autonomously with little or no supervisionDemonstrated successful and positive personal leadership, interpersonal, organizational, administrative and communication skills Demonstrated successful working relationships with Clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts Proficiency in MS Excel and Word Availability to travel, within Europe and outside Europe, more than 75% of the time, sometimes with limited notice Ability to live and work within the EU Fluency in English language Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience Demonstrated experience working with international clients and field service personnel Demonstrated experience in international field engineering Demonstrated experience in the metals, material handling, paper, oil & gas or general industries Proficiency in Oracle ERP Proficiency in MS Projects Job Location The office location is in Bari, Italy.
