Providing financial and business support (including planning & control processes) within the financial guidelines and policies in order to advice and support management of the realization of the objectives in terms of efficiency, cost control and profitability.Areas of responsibilityStrategy and input year plan/budgetSupport and contribute to the preparation and development of forecasts, budgets and strategic plansFinancial planning and controlParticipates in the periodic financial close and reporting process including gap analysis vs LY, budget and forecast and report results to (senior) managementTogether with financial control make sure the right management information and reporting is availableReporting should be on time, accurate and completeAnalysis and management informationCollect, interpret, edit economical/financial related data, at request or at own initiative based on own expertiseProvide insights at request or at own initiative regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and ad hoc (consolidated) reports and/or analyses, based on reporting guidelinesBusiness partnering and management adviceIssue insights at request or at own initiative to management regarding financial performances of the designated area and on investments, working capital and profitability and decisions with (strategic) financial implicationsEnsure financial analyses supporting management decisions in accordance with internal (corporate) guidelinesAdvise, monitor and support the business as a subject matter expert on finance mattersInternal controls and complianceReview the processes and strengthen internal controls and make recommendations for improvement in close collaboration with the Risk Management departmentEnsure on time execution of control self-assessments by business partnersEnsure on time follow up on actions regarding Internal Audit report by business partnersProjectsDefine, plan, manage, and execute assigned finance-related projects, within the project management guidelinesParticipate in local and/or international (improvement) projects to implement new (financial) systems, procedures and processesRequirements - Hard And Soft SkillsBachelor + or master degree in (Business) Economics/AccountingWork experience in Business environment - better if in Retail/GDOLeadershipProject managementSet the exampleCommunication skillsProactivityExecute with pace and urgencyResult orientedSeniority level Seniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Employment type Full-timeJob function Job function Accounting/Auditing and FinanceIndustries RetailReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Action by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “Business Controller” roles.
