Overview As Medical Neuroscience Head at Novartis, you will lead the country’s scientific strategy for Neuroscience, shaping medical engagement, evidence generation, and education across the product lifecycle. You will orchestrate external partnerships and cross-functional collaboration to translate science into patient-focused outcomes. This role combines strategic direction with hands-on leadership in RWE/HEOR, publication planning, and medical education, driving impactful medical initiatives. You’ll be a trusted scientific advisor shaping country-level medical strategy within a global framework.

Responsabilità Develop and execute the country-specific Medical Neuroscience strategy aligned with global/regional objectives
Adapt international medical plans into locally relevant strategies supporting pre-launch, launch, and lifecycle management
Define strategic priorities and tactical plans across scientific engagement, medical education, evidence generation, publications, and external insight generation
Lead local evidence generation strategies including Real-World Evidence (RWE), HEOR initiatives, Phase IIIb/IV studies, and publication planning
Provide scientific and clinical expertise to support integrated evidence strategies, study feasibility assessments, and local research initiatives
Act as trusted scientific advisor to internal stakeholders across Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Digital, and other functions
Ensure all medical activities comply with regulatory, ethical, and compliance standards
Lead scientific engagement activities with healthcare professionals, medical experts, academic institutions, and scientific societies
Ensure high-quality, unbiased peer-to-peer scientific exchange and alignment with Therapeutic Area objectives
Establish processes for systematic collection and use of external insights to inform decisions
Drive excellence in scientific communication, medical education, and congress activities
Support capability building across medical and cross-functional teams through training and leadership
Oversee delivery of local evidence generation programs addressing patient, systems, and scientific needs
Guide publication strategies and timely dissemination of data
Support development and delivery of medical education programs for professionals and internal stakeholders
Ensure scientific integrity throughout education and evidence-generation activities
Build and maintain relationships with key medical experts, institutions, and stakeholders
Represent Novartis as a credible scientific ambassador at forums
Foster collaborations that advance understanding and patient outcomes
Contribute to multi-stakeholder initiatives creating value for patients and systems
Partner with Commercial, Value & Access, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, and Execution Excellence to align strategy
Translate scientific insights into actionable medical strategies with global/regional/local coordination
Support launch readiness and lifecycle management through scientific leadership
Drive integration of external insights into cross-functional planning and decision-making
Ensure adherence to regulations, codes, policies, and governance standards
Maintain high standards of scientific credibility, ethics, and patient focus
Manage adverse events, technical complaints, and special situations per requirements
Promote a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement across the medical organization
Requisiti fondamentali Advanced scientific degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Neuroscience, Life Sciences, or related field
MD, PharmD, PhD, or equivalent preferred
Significant experience in Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, or related functions in pharma/biotech
Strong Neuroscience experience and disease landscape understanding
Proven ability to develop and execute medical strategies across product lifecycles
Experience in scientific engagement with professionals and organizations
Proven track record in evidence generation, publication planning, and medical education leadership
Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management
Experience in complex matrix organizations at local, regional, or global levels
Deep scientific and clinical Neuroscience expertise
Strategic thinking translating science into medical initiatives
Evidence generation and publication planning capabilities
Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
Excellent communication, presentation, and scientific storytelling
