Your mission Ciao a tutti We’re thrilled to introduce a key role at the heart of our service organization in Italy and the Balkans: the O&M Engineer. You would be the technical and operational owner of the service we deliver to our PV and BESS fleet. Curious what this is all about? Let’s dive right in:
- Be the first line of remote troubleshooting on inverters, PCS, batteries, EMS and SCADA, solving remotely what can be solved before a field visit is needed.
- Plan and guide on-site interventions with our Field Service Engineers and service partners, validate the results, and step in yourself when a case calls for it.
- Develop clear RCAs and technical reports that support warranty and contractual decisions for customers and HQ.
- Plan preventive maintenance campaigns, manage tickets end to end, and deliver monthly KPI reports on availability, response times and energy losses.
- Follow up on contract invoicing and service partner invoices, and coordinate and qualify partners across Italy and the Balkans.
- Support the review of LTSA and SLA contracts, and keep service quality high with AI and data tools such as Power BI and CRM.
- A degree in Electrical, Electronic or Energy Engineering, or equivalent experience as an electrical technician (LV/MV, AC/DC, power electronics).
- 3+ years in O&M, field service or commissioning of utility-scale PV and/or BESS, with knowledge of inverters, PCS, batteries, MV equipment and EMS/SCADA/PPC. Sungrow or comparable equipment experience is a plus.
- Strong remote troubleshooting and analytical skills, including log analysis, RCA and KPI reporting, plus a structured, organized way of working.
- The ability to read and apply SLA/LTSA, warranty and partner contracts, including scope, response times, availability, penalties and exclusions.
- Italian C2 and English B2 or higher are required, and Spanish is a plus. You are proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and comfortable with AI tools. CRM, ticketing and Power BI are a plus.
- A driving license, H&S training for construction and electrical sites, and willingness to travel about 50%, mainly across Italy and occasionally to the Balkans. The role is based in Milan.
- You would work on a fast-growing fleet and shape how it is serviced.
- You would have real ownership and autonomy, with direct contact with IPPs, utilities and asset managers.
- You would work with modern AI and data tools that speed up your daily work.
- You would be part of a collaborative international team in Milan, working on the energy transition.
