Junior Control Software Engineer – Baker Hughes Join our Industry & Energy Technology Team and work on control algorithms and software development for Gas Turbine and Steam Turbine driven Compressor and Generator applications, Electric Motors, Reciprocating Compressors and Turboexpanders at Baker Hughes.ResponsibilitiesDevelop Control System Software according to technical specifications including software coding, validation, and verification to guarantee overall control systems quality before site commissioning.Analyze systematic and timely nonconformities (NCM/CCM) and attend technical meetings with Project Team, Customers and Supplier.Create and maintain Control SW Libraries, fostering Control Systems Continuous Improvement process, implementing Lesson Learned (LL) and Corrective/Preventive Actions (CAPA).Support New Product and New Technology introduction in the market, participate as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews.QualificationsHave a MSc. in Computer Science, Automation, Electronics, Telecommunication or Automation Engineering.Be proficient in industrial PLC programming languages and configuration tools.Sound knowledge of main industrial network communication protocols and standards, control system algorithms design and dynamic systems models design.Display knowledge of Advanced Controls Techniques with focus on Model based Control.Demonstrate effective communication, interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to influence others.Work in a multi‑cultural team and be willing to travel worldwide up to 10% of the time for short customer meetings and/or site/test bed support.Be fluent in spoken and written English.BenefitsFlexible working patterns – flexible hours to fit work when most productive.Contemporary work‑life balance policies and wellbeing activities.Comprehensive private medical care options.Safety net of life insurance and disability programs.Tailored financial programs.Additional elected or voluntary benefits.Job DetailsSeniority level: Entry level.Employment type: Full‑time.Job function: Engineering and Information Technology.Location: Florence, Italy Metropolitan Area.Temporary position – 12 months with possibility to convert to permanent.R Baker Hughes Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
