Financial Controller

We are looking for a Finance Manager to plan and execute our financial strategy for the CIS region, providing leadership and financial excellence to the CIS region. Location for this role is Kazakhstan. This role will report directly into the Regional Head of Finance. Responsibilities Responsible for Binance’s strategic planning, implementation, managing and running of all the finance activities for Kazakhstan and the wider CIS region Develop tools and systems to provide critical financial and operational information to the CEO, Head of Finance and other leadership, making actionable recommendations on both strategy and operations Engage the board, finance, audit, and investment committees around issues, trends, and changes in the operating models and operational results Assist in establishing yearly objectives and meeting agendas, and selecting and engaging outside consultants (auditors, investment advisors etc) Oversee long-term budgetary planning and costs management in alignment with strategic plan Maintaining the company’s regulatory reporting requirements including ensuring the maintenance of adequate regulatory capital End to responsibility of preparation of monthly management accounts Responsibility for preparation of annual financial accounts Balance sheet and Intercompany reconciliations Preparation of VAT returns and filings Ensuring full compliance of regulated entities within the region including timely filings Lead the preparation of financial information and other documentation for audit Be an integral part of the regional finance team, covering other tasks as required Requirements Proven experience leading and growing a fully‑fledged finance function 10+ years of experience in relevant finance/accounting positions Experienced in the set up and management of finance and accounting software, payroll procedures, and management systems Experience in fintech or crypto industries is a plus but not essential Accounting qualification (AAT/ACCA/CIMA/ICAEW) Familiar with local laws and regulations Good knowledge of local GAAP and IFRS High integrity, proactive and a professional work ethic A team player, able to work under pressure Why Binance • Shape the future with the world’s leading blockchain ecosystem • Collaborate with world‑class talent in a user‑centric global organization with a flat structure • Tackle unique, fast‑paced projects with autonomy in an innovative environment • Thrive in a results‑driven workplace with opportunities for career growth and continuous learning • Competitive salary and company benefits • Work‑from‑home arrangement (the arrangement may vary depending on the work nature of the business team) Binance is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
