Wood is recruiting for a Piping Engineer - Graduate to join its Projects business line focusing on engineering, procurement and construction of complex plants in the Chemical, Petrochemical and Energy industries. The position will be based in Corsico (Milan) office, with the possibility to work from home up to two days per week.
You will report to the MTO Chief Engineer and support the development and maintenance of Piping Material Classes and related engineering deliverables for assigned projects. Working within a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will contribute to the definition of piping material requirements, valve and specialty item specifications, and the preparation of Material Take-Offs (MTOs). This role offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise in piping materials engineering while working under the guidance of experienced engineers.

Support the development and maintenance of Piping Material Classes in accordance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards and Client requirements
Assist in the preparation and update of piping material specifications, datasheets and related engineering documentation
Develop familiarity with piping components, including pipes, fittings, flanges, valves, gaskets, bolting and specialty items
Support the review and interpretation of P&IDs, line lists, process data sheets and engineering specifications
Assist in the selection of piping materials based on process conditions, design requirements and project specifications
Prepare and maintain bulk Material Take-Offs (MTOs) from engineering deliverables and 3D models
Support the verification and reconciliation of MTO quantities throughout the project lifecycle
Assist in the preparation of material requisitions and technical documentation for procurement activities
Ensure assigned activities are performed in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements and company procedures
Support the management of piping material databases and related engineering tools
Participate in project meetings and technical reviews as required
Contribute to the continuous improvement of piping material management processes and work methodologies

in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Fluent Italian and good English
Good analytical and organizational skills
Strong willingness to learn and develop technical competencies in piping materials engineering
Good communication and teamwork skills
Availability to be relocated abroad

Compensation And Compliance
Contract & Classification
Contract type: Permanent
Collective Agreement (CCNL): Industria Metalmeccanica (CNEL C011)
Impiegato, consistent with role requirements and applicable CCNL
Gross Annual Salary: the initial gross annual salary will be € 32,604.60, paid in 14 instalments
The compensation package will include applicable CCNL elements and company benefits
Variable pay and additional benefits will be detailed during the selection process
