Silicon Characterization Engineer (m/f/d)

Will you help us design future generations of revolutionary Apple products? Our Silicon Engineering team is seeking a Silicon Characterization Engineer with a great foundation in power management circuits and a real passion for building new technologies.

You will be responsible for the validation and characterization of analog and mixed signal Power Management circuits for battery operated portable devices.

Description

With mentorship, you will work within the Silicon Team developing high performance Silicon. As a key member of the silicon validation team you will be responsible for ensuring that we deliver high-quality silicon to customers. As part of this role, you will plan, write and execute tests to establish functional health of our ASICs. You will measure and optimize performance of silicon, enabling consistent and compelling use-cases in our products.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automation software, scripts and algorithm for measurement data collection, post processing and analysis
  • Board level circuit design, schematic capture, routing constraints definition, and layout reviews
  • Verify and validate ASICs FW on FPGA emulator

Minimum Qualifications

  • Coursework focusing on analog circuit measurement
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills; always enthusiastic to collaborate with diverse teams
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Student experience in PCB design is a plus
  • Coursework focusing on data post processing is a plus
At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This range provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay for this role is between €39,400 and €59,100 and reflects a full-time equivalent. Your base pay will depend on contractual hours, skills, qualifications, experience, location, and any relevant collective bargaining agreement provisions. Apple employees are eligible to participate in the Apple Inc. discretionary stock programs. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments as well as relocation.
