Sr. System Development Engineer, HWEng Acceletor SystemsJob ID: | Amazon Data Services, Inc. - A19AWS Hardware Engineering seeks a Senior System Development Engineer to lead accelerator server and rack system development, solving complex architectural problems while debugging hardware, software, and network issues across NPI and fleet operations. You will build automation to manage and improve large-scale infrastructure, focusing on operational excellence, reliability, and efficiency at the intersection of hardware, software, networking, and cloud services. This role involves creating tools, monitoring systems, troubleshooting complex issues, and driving human-free operations. You will proactively identify deficiencies before customer impact and develop tests that enhance quality while reducing execution time. You will decompose large-scale system challenges in testability, reliability, and diagnostics into actionable components, delivering solutions through both hands-on execution and leadership.ResponsibilitiesLead technical solutions for complex accelerator server and rack system architectural challengesOwn end-to-end system reliability, proactively identifying and resolving deficiencies before customer impactWrite code and implement solutions to address system-level issues at large scaleDecompose complex server system problems (testability, reliability, diagnostics) into deliverable tasks and featuresLead cross-functional delivery of system improvements through direct execution and team coordinationApply expertise across hardware, software, system design, x86 architecture, processes, and operationsDrive system scalability and performance optimization for accelerator workloadsCollaborate with hardware and software teams to ensure robust system integrationDevelop and implement diagnostic tools and monitoring solutions for production systemsDebug complex system failures in time sensitive settingsAbout the teamAmazon Web Services (AWS) is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform.
