OverviewIn the frame of Satellite & Mission Department, SITAEL is looking for an experienced / senior Satellite Thermo-mechanical Architect, with mid-level experience (5 years) in the field of Space Engineering, preferably at system-subsystem level. The Satellite Thermo-Mechanical Architect will act as a key reference person for the Thermo Mechanical design at subsystem level, with focus on the architecture and budgets, technical development of satellite structures and Thermal control system, working with multi-disciplinary teams. After the design phase, he will either act as technical reference for the procurement of the Hardware and as a technical reference for the integration and verification of the TS subsystem. He will also support the test phases (Vibrational, acoustic, TVAC) by the definition of test specification and review of test reports. The Satellite Thermo-Mechanical Architect will report directly to Thermo-structure S / S Team Leader. Location: Rome, Italy.Main responsibilities and activitiesTechnical coordination of Thermo-structure S / S engineering activitiesThermo-structure S / S specification preparation and managementDefinition of satellite thermo-mechanical architecture (structural concept, main internal and external mechanical interfaces, thermal control solutions)Definition of environmental specification for the equipment, payload and appendagesThermo-structure S / S design activities (structural design, thermal & mechanical interfaces requirements definition, main I / F sizing, LV compatibility, thermal control design and HW selection, mechanical and thermal analysis follow-up and validation)Technical follow-up of satellite structure and thermal HW procurementThermo-structure AIV (assembly, integration & verification), including STM / PFM qualification and FM satellite acceptanceParticipation in technical reviews, meetings and progress reports with the customerQualifications / Knowledge / Experience / Technical SkillsMechanical or Aerospace Engineering (5y+) Master DegreeAt least 5 years of experience in Space Thermal / Mechanical Engineering, preferably at system levelAdvanced knowledge of Satellite level thermo-structure architecture and its componentsGood knowledge of Satellite Design and its subsystems / functionsGood / Basic knowledge of Space Mission Design & AnalysisCapability of performing technical coordinationGood knowledge of satellite lifecycle and System Engineering methods and tools (requirement management, tradeoff studies, Sys ML)Experience in mechanical FEM analysis using Nastran (or similar) or in thermal Analysis using ESATAN TMS (or similar)Good Knowledge of the ECSS standardsVery good knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, MS VISIO, DOORS, Matlab Simulink, Nastran / Femap#J-18808-Ljbffr
