Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. You will also contribute to design discussions.As a Lead Engineer you will be responsible for:Designing the engineering processes & software ecosystems dedicated to Turbomachinery engineering teams in particular Centrifugal Compressors and Gas Turbine product selection.Transforming the Engineering needs / processes into Business requirements document and Software specifications for Application development outsourcingProviding technical leadership to and engage in technical discussions with internal / external stakeholders during analysis development roll‑out Define technical requirements (calculation algorithms backend business logic UX tech stack) in collaboration with BH internal customer and third parties.Establishing strong connections with Baker Hughes Digital Technology teams to ensure fruitful collaborations for technology evolution adoption and operational tasksWorking with team members to lead the IT infrastructure evolution to guarantee and maximize performance of tools and technical calculations across the whole product portfolio.Creating maintain improve and drive new app functionalities including relevant documentationLeading testing and validation activity (e.g. user acceptance tests)Supporting technical program users to solve issues on tools and / or theoryManaging cross‑functional and multicultural Teams to assure project executionManaging project risks to prevent issues and drive mitigation plan / actionsEnsuring compliance with all corporate standards and practicesIdentify the scope of the work provide initial estimate and justify the estimate with factsDemonstrate the understanding of Agile / Waterfall software development lifecycle and able to distinguish the core inputs and outputs in each cycle.Documenting technical data consistent with engineering policies and proceduresParticipating as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviewsHarmonizing and adapting own goals in the context of complex global development plans and variable requirementsGuaranteeing the respect of quality procedure and lead team process improvementsParticipating on teams assigned to address organizational initiatives projects and generic issuesLeading the evolution of these software frameworks to guarantee the alignment of Baker Hughes with the rest of the world state of the art.Fostering a culture of Quality right at the first timeProviding oversight and mentoring team members. Showing ability to effectively delegate workTo be successful in this role you will :Have a bachelors or masters degree in mechanical engineering preferred or similar STEM majors (Science Technology Engineering & Math)Have a solid experience in Turbomachinery mechanics balance of plant especially in Centrifugal Compressors and Gas Turbines as focus subjects more over in Centrifugal Compression trains and Steam TurbinesHave at least 5 years of experience in software lifecycle management and software designExperience in software specification definition evolution and design of web application based on java tech stack. Be familiar with programming languages for example SQL Fortran Java Python bash script visual basicExperience in software life‑cycle management : DEV QA PROD environments deployment processes and code versioning system (GIT)Familiar with typical IT infrastructure components and functionality like IP network basics cyber security elements (firewall authentication layer code vulnerability management) Proxy load balancing DNS server spec (CPU RAM storage)Demonstrate the ability to analyze complex issues and decompose these into a manageable set of tasksDemonstrate experience of leading projects with global teamsHave clear thinking attitude with entrepreneurs mindset.Able to fluently speak and write in EnglishBe a motivated self‑starter proactively taking initiative to lead and solve problems through collaborationReport to senior leadershipHave excellent communication skills written and oral.
