Our people represent 90 nationalities and speak 80 languages.Position SummaryWe are currently looking for a Trainee to join the Corporate Real Estate practice in our Rome office. You should have excellent academic credentials and legal knowledge, be commercially minded with a solid grasp of the market, and have enthusiasm for international deal-making. Ideally, you will have gained 6 to 12 months of experience in Corporate Real Estate at major Italian or international law firms in Italy.Excellent oral and written communication skills will be assets, enabling you to seamlessly manage the flow of information between practice groups, clients and stakeholders. You should be comfortable working in large, international, multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating a collaborative approach and ease interacting with a wide range of legal and business professionals. Proactive and self-motivated, you should be eager to take ownership of your work product and deliver outstanding results.Our Practice AreaOur market-leading real estate team is active in acquisitions and dispositions of real estate assets, logistics developments, fund formation, and hotel management agreements. We have direct hands-on experience across real estate asset classes and related regulatory and leasing issues, and we have advised clients in the acquisition, financing and sale of portfolios of buildings. You will be working in an exciting environment, interacting with multidisciplinary teams from across our international offices and practice groups.Supported by colleagues at every step, you will find this work challenging and rewarding; partners are accessible and we will provide training and hands-on experience to help you flourish in this field.Duties and AccountabilitiesYou will be involved in the following activities:Conducting legal and technical research with a real estate focusDrafting and reviewing legal and technical documentationMonitoring clients’ requests and assisting the team to ensure activities run smoothly and efficientlyDrafting legal memoranda on a broad range of topics arising under real estate and corporate lawAnalyzing commercial and legal informationMeeting with the client, together with the Associate/Partner responsible for the matterQualifications6-12 months of experience at a primary Italian or international law firm in the Corporate Real Estate practiceLaw Degree obtained in Italy with excellent academic records (105+)Commercial and business awarenessOutstanding communication and negotiation skillsStrong time management skills, ability to stay calm under pressure when juggling multiple projectsFluency in EnglishLocation & ReportingThis is a Corporate Real Estate Role based in Rome.The firm may modify and amend this job description at any time in its sole discretion.
