POSITION SUMMARY The IT Support Technician will be responsible for day‑to‑day management and maintenance of IT equipment and systems within a manufacturing environment, along with serving as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance within an office environment. The role is crucial in ensuring the reliability, security, and optimal performance of our IT systems, hardware, and software. The IT Support Technician will collaborate closely with BMZ Group’s IT department, located in BMZ’s headquarters in Germany. JOB FUNCTIONSProvide first‑level contact and problem resolution for all users with hardware, software, and application issues. Perform installations, configurations, and upgrades of desktop hardware and software. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to desktop systems, printers, and network connectivity. Maintain and update documentation of hardware and software configurations. Assist with the setup and deployment of new equipment and systems. Collaborate with 2nd and 3rd level IT team members to ensure efficient operation of the company’s IT infrastructure. Provide training and guidance to users on best practices and usage of IT resources. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to IT security and usage. Participation in internal IT projects (also globally). Development and maintenance of IT system documentation. Additional duties as assigned by the local General Manager or BMZ’s Group CIO.MINIMUM ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEAssociate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Proven experience as a Desktop Support Technician or in a similar role. (2–3 years minimum experience.) Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Active Directory. Familiarity with remote desktop applications, VPNs, and help‑desk software. Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.ADDITIONAL VALUED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCEKnowledge of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise 24. Familiarity with manufacturing systems and technology (Keyence, AutoCAD, etc.). MCSE and/or MCSA certification.
